The Secrets To Losing Weight.

The Holidays are over and most of us are now concerned about the weight we have accumulated around the middle. And like the beginning of every year, the resolutions to lose belly fat are made in earnest.

However, what has really changed since December? Wherever you go there are still places to buy food, places to eat, and new foods to try. In the past we have seen what causes a jelly-belly, and those temptations are still there: (1) Choosing foods like soda, chips or fast food. (2) Sitting around too much, not exercising. (3) Using food to help get you through bad times like feeling stressed, sad or bored.

In the case of teens, being overweight can cause serious health problems both now and in the future. There will always be the risk of developing ailments like diabetes, asthma, problems with bones, heart problems and problems with joints like knees and hips. This can even result in teens isolating themselves from friends and family, eventually leading to depression or sleep problems.

The Secret To Losing Weight is to burn more calories than you consume. To lose the jelly-belly, you have to exercise a little more every day and eat a little less or eat different foods.

EATING: Eat small quantities of healthy meals and snacks throughout the day to feel satisfied and energetic. Try to chew slowly and spend more time talking and listening to your friends than eating. Remember to listen to your body. If you eat too fast, your body can’t tell you that you are full until it is too late. No one likes to feel stuffed. No one likes to feel hungry either, so eat small snacks to keep yourself going.

EXERCISE: Add activities every day. Take an extra flight of stairs or walk an extra block or two. Join a sports team, a gym or your Community Club. Try to spend more time outdoor. This could be about 30 minutes of cardio three times a week. Your choice of walking, jogging or even playing a sport. Just be patient with the process, gradually increasing the amount you exercise daily. Remember, results will be seen in weeks and not days. The longer you keep it up, the better you will feel and look.

For those who are serious about losing the unwanted belly fat and getting healthier, try telling a friend or family member. They can help you by exercising with you or helping you make better eating choices. Look online for eating and exercise tips. You can also ask your doctor for recommendations on eating and exercise programs that will work for you. Good luck all.
